First aid clinic in Rundu

First aid clinic in Rundu

On 24th November 2018 the Embassy opened a first aid clinic in Rundu: this structure represents an important facility for the community, afflicted by HIV, and embodies the full expression of the hospitaller nature of the Order of Malta. The clinic, of about 80 square metres, is run by two Benedictine nurses, assisted by volunteer doctors, and offers continuous assistance to the population. Built with the help of Rotaract Toscana, it is the only first aid centre in the Kehemu district, and it is therefore of fundamental importance.

The Embassy has just completed the renovation of the soup kitchen, and is now working on another project: the building of a professional school at the Catholic Mission of Doebra, Windhoek, where young students could learn agricultural work, thus hoping in a better future.
