During his State visit to Namibia, Ambassador Giacomo Berutto paid an official visit to the Heroes’ Acre, where he solemnly laid wreaths and paid tribute at the tomb of the late President of the Republic, Dr. Hage G. Geingob, and at the grave of the Founding Father of the Nation, President Samuel Shafiishuna Daniel Nujoma.
Accompanied by the former Ambassador of Namibia to the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Ms. Linda Scott, and by the Ecclesiastical Counsellor, H.E. Fr. Giovanni Scarabelli, Ambassador Berutto had the distinct honour of conveying his deepest respect and reverence.
The visit stood as a moment of profound reflection and remembrance, underscoring the enduring legacy of leadership, unity, and national reconciliation embodied by the late President Geingob and by Founding Father Nujoma. It further reaffirmed the Ambassador’s commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and cooperation between the two Nations, while paying homage to Namibia’s history and its remarkable journey towards independence and democratic governance.
