After the success of the previous editions, the Embassy organized during the Christmas season another charitable Grand Gala to raise funds in support of the humanitarian activities run in the city of Rundu. The event, held at Villa Grabau, near Lucca, provided a real contribution to the noble cause and was fully appreciated by all the participants. Among the guests, greeted by the host Ambassador Giacomo Berutto, were Capitular Fra’ Giovanni Scarabelli, Edoardo La Rosa, vice-hospitaller of the Grand Priory of Rome, and Diego Boscarelli, vice-receiver of the Grand Priory of Naples and Sicily. During the evening at the Villa, generously opened by the owners Francesca and Renato Amodeo, the Embassy staff and the members of Ketuko Italia Ets explained the important work carried out in Namibia. Today, the Embassy runs a kindergarten for more than 120 children, a first aid clinic and a soup kitchen that provides over 400 meals a day in Rundu: the revenue of the gala evening, together with the contribution of Fondazione Mediolanum, will be used to mantain these structures.
